PROSTATE - Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a condition that affects 25% of men in their 40's and over 50% of men in their 60's.
BPH is believed to be due to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) promoting proliferation of prostate cells. This results in an enlargement of the prostate gland and can lead to enlarged prostate, and create problems and discomfort when urinating.
