Approx. 10g protein per serving.
The only thing better than this recipe's delicious and refreshing flavor is how simple and easy it is to throw together. If busy mornings are all too familiar to you then this is definitely one you're going to want to add to your repertoire.
If you remember to freeze the bananas the night before you should be able to throw this together in only 3 minutes (maybe less if you can get someone else to rinse out the blender).
Speaking of blenders, for this recipe we used the NutriBullet because it's easy to clean and we're incorrigibly lazy.
For our protein source, we use our Organic Pumpkin Seed Powder. Each heaping tablespoon provides roughly 10 grams of protein. For our liquid, we use Hemp Milk which you can of course substitute with Almond or Whole Milk.
Ingredients:
1 Large Frozen Banana (ripe, peeled before freezing)
4-6 Ice cubes
1 Heaping Tablespoon of Organic Pumpkin Seed Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
Pinch of Nutmeg
Pinch of Clove
1 Cup of Hemp Milk (or substitute)
1/4 Tsp. Agave (optional)
Combine all your ingredients in the order listed and blend for 45 seconds or until the ice has been blended smooth.
Pour and enjoy :)
